I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
